WESCO’s Pending Acquisition of EECOL Electric Receives
Canadian Competition Bureau Clearance
PITTSBURGH, December 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- WESCO International, Inc. (NYSE: WCC), a leading provider of electrical, industrial, and communications MRO and OEM products, construction materials, and advanced supply chain management and logistics services, announced today that WESCO Distribution, Inc.’s previously announced pending acquisition of EECOL Electric Corporation has received clearance from the Competition Bureau of Canada. Receipt of this clearance satisfies a condition to the closing of the transaction. The transaction remains subject to certain other closing conditions. Closing is expected to occur in the fourth quarter 2012.
